It’s that time again! Celebrating their 16th year of history making Hip Hop, the world renown Underground Project Blowed crew will once again come together as only they can to create a night of styles, lyrics, big beats & the twisted word play. The Project Blowed Open-Mic workshop in Leimert Park is thee longest running Hip Hop open-mic on the planet. And some of Hip Hops dopest & biggest Emcees have frequented “The Blowed” to sharpen their skills over the last decade. The Project Blowed Crew has also birthed most of the premiere Battle MC’s & Beat Makers over the last 10 years. The Blowed is Classic L.A. Hip Hop, without the over dose of “Gangster” energy or wanna be radio appeal. Just Big Beats & Styles, upon styles, upon styles…
This year boasts performances by not only the Original Heavyweights like Aceyalone, Myka9, Self Jupiter, P.E.A.C.E., Abstract Rude, 2Mex, Busdriver, Medusa. But will also be kinda graduating the last generation of the Blowed artists such as Nocando, Dumbfoundead, Open Mike Eagle, Sahtyre, The (SIS)TEM, J Natural and a whole lot more.
In addition to the Rap performances there will be a special Beat Cypher session featuring Dibia$e, Thavius Beck, Elusive, Ras G & E Super + a whole lot of very special guests!!!!!!

The Leimert Park Art Walk is a collective of artists, residents, volunteers and local merchants that have come together to develop the 10th art walk around the community drum circle in the Leimert Park Village along 43rd Place on last Sunday,each month from 2 pm- 8 pm.
Throughout the day cultural spaces (KAOS Network, Vision Theatre, Eugene’s, The Martin Building & The Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center), artist studios and storefronts will share art exhibitions, music, fashion, food, drumming, spoken word and local shopping
Artists, art lovers, music lovers, festival lovers, fun lovers!
